Leadership Bios
Leon J. Gorbaty, CEO, Director
Leon Gorbaty is the Founder and CEO of TEEC. With over 20 years of experience in the areas of mechanical and software engineering, he is a rotating machinery specialist specializing in turbomachinery and a software developer specializing in subject-matter driven application development. Mr. Gorbaty founded TEEC with a vision for improved compliance to engineering specifications. He earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and an Executive MS degree in the Management of Technology from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton Business School.
Adam Z. Klatzkin, CTO, COO, Director
Adam Z. Klatzkin is a Co-founder of TEEC and serves as CTO, COO, and Director. Mr. Klatzkin has over 15 years in the software engineering industry, including at Bentley Systems where he held various software engineering and management positions. He has led multiple global teams working on platforms for interoperability, rich data models, and information workflows that power many of today’s popular engineering software applications. Mr. Klatzkin holds a BS degree with honors in Electrical and Computer Engineering with an additional major in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
Buddy Cleveland, Director
Alton B. (Buddy) Cleveland, Jr. is SVP of Applied Research at Bentley Systems, Inc. From 2000 through 2006, Mr. Cleveland held the role of SVP of Bentley Software. Mr. Cleveland joined Bentley in December 1997 when the company acquired Jacobus Technology, which he founded and served as President from its inception in 1991. Before to founding Jacobus, he enjoyed a 20-year career with Bechtel Corporation, where he last served as the Manager of Automation Technology. Mr. Cleveland holds a BS degree in Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and currently serves on the advisory board for its Department of Civil Engineering.
Raymond Best, Director
Raymond K. Best, PE, LEED BD+C, is a Principal and Leader of the Asset Management business line at Cardno TEC, Inc. Best has broad experience in the business of asset management, A/E design, master planning, environmental engineering, IT, and construction services to international, federal, state, municipal, and US Department of Defense clients. An expert in the management and execution of large multi-discipline program assignments, his experience includes the founding and growth of a European A/E consulting firm ranking in the ENR top 200 International A/E firms. Best is President of the Construction Sciences Research Foundation, was selected as The 1995 Young Engineer of the Year by the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers, and was awarded the Bronze Order of the de Fluery Medal by the Army Engineer Association on behalf of the Engineer Regiment in 2001.
